What do you wear to clubs in Europe?
Europeans don't really wear anything formal in nightclubs such as: dresses sparkling tops neaither polo-shirts or shorts. I would say a pair of nice decent quality and fit jeans and a modern top would be fine. Also a pair of flats instead of Clarks would be fine as well. Keep the Clarks for walking around.
Women can wear a smart casual style with a nice, trendy dress or a modern jumpsuit with a blazer or jacket, even a black trouser or jeans with a neat blouse or a tunic dress. A denim jeans or a ripped jeans are definitely a no-go.
European fashions are most easily recognized by their clean, simple lines. The cut of almost all pieces of clothing, from suits to dresses, have a sleek, geometric appearance. You should look for clothes that are similarly simple in shape, with clean, elegant lines. Wear clothes that fit.
The general rule of thumb for clubbing outfits is to dress to impress. Business casual or co*cktail attire styles are the ideal choices to comply with most club dress codes. So, you should only wear casual wear, such as sneakers or construction boots, to venues where you know for a fact that it is acceptable.
Business Casual or Smart Casual
Dress codes often refer to the business casual style as “smart casual,” and their similarities make the terms fairly synonymous. Business casual wear works for both upscale and low-brow venues, and is universally accepted by clubs or lounges – so you will rarely seem out of place in it.
To be “smart & sexy” or to “dress to impress” there are no fixed rules. However, the best choice is always a dress. A black dress works also 100% fine at most of clubs.
Clubs/High-End Outings
Jeans (besides dark or black-wash) are usually safest to avoid. I'd recommend a skirt, tights, and a nice blouse—paired with either boots or heels. If you're ever unsure of what would be allowed, opt for semi-formal attire: a dress or skirt (always with tights) or slacks.
If you're covered in pockets, everyone knows you're a tourist. Cargo pants, cargo shorts, travel vests... if the goal of your outfit is storage space, you're going to stick out. Similarly, safari clothes and hiking clothes are great for the grand outdoors, but not so much for the center of Vienna.
To not stand out as a tourist, wear what the locals wear--- neutral colors, scarves, and layers. Second, tourists should look like they know where they're going even if they don't. Standing on the street, looking confused, and staring at a map easily identifies people as tourists.
Just like in America, Europeans wear all styles of clothes and it varies from country to country. That said, styles do tend to be a little more “dressy” but many Europeans are moving toward a more casual, t-shirt, sneakers, and jeans wardrobe.
What not to wear in a club?
You'll want to skip beach attire, which means no bikinis, bathing suits, flip flops, or sandals. Dresses can be somewhat fancy or completely casual. As long as you wear something sexy but not trashy, you'll be abiding by the dress code. Some clubs also prohibit wearing exposed jewelry.

Ladies can pull off the business casual style with a stylish overcoat or jacket, a loose sweater or blouse, a pair of form-fitting blue jeans or straight pants, and shoes with kitten heels or wedges, and it will work for any club. For a sexy twist, add a tube top or corset top and you are sure to turn a few heads.
Smart casual dress codes (like the Ministry of Sound dress code) permit T-shirts, jeans, and branded trainers. Clubs with smart sexy dress codes encourage sexy dress-up and more classy looks. Your best little black dress or button-up shirts are safe bets here. So are high heels and smart leather shoes.
You want to choose outfits that are smart, crisp, and fashionable. Skirts and dresses are classier than jeans. For men, leather shoes and button-down shirts with collars are a much classier look than t-shirts and sneakers. If you're planning on coming to the Onyx Room Nightclub, check out our dress code here.
Besides, you want to look your best on your first night out clubbing. Guys should wear collared shirts with nice jeans or slacks and closed-toed shoes—leave the trainers at home. A woman can't go wrong with a dress paired with low heels or wedges—stilettos may be sexy, but they're not great for dancing all night.
Avoid wearing tennis shoes (Nikes etc.) because it tells everyone you're a tourist. Black shoes are a necessity if you want to go into most nightclubs. Also, bring along black pants and try to avoid jeans.
Most bars in Paris close between 1 and 2am, just in time to catch the last metro. But if you want to stay out all night, clubs (known as boîtes de nuit) stay open until 6am, perfect for dancing the night away and then heading home on the first train!
Do Parisians Wear Jeans. Parisians do wear jeans and over the years they have become more of a classic French wardrobe staple. Jeans can easily be worn year-round and dressed up or down in that chic French way. What is this?
Sequin Top or Dress
A sequin top can easily be mixed with a pair of leather trousers or even a beautiful pair of silk black pants and heels. This will make a chic and cool girl Parisian look.
What is Paris chic dress code?
Parisian style is “chic décontracté” (casual chic). It's all about mixing classic and timeless pieces with more sophisticated and dressy items —whether it's a designer bag, a silk scarf, a piece of jewelry, or a chic pair of shoes.
When you think “dinner in Paris”, you probably don't think to wear jeans. But, depending on the restaurant, you CAN wear jeans. I would probably opt for the jumpsuit or dress if you're headed to a Michelin-starred restaurant, but if you have a more casual dinner planned, go with your favorite pair of jeans!
We show you that you can wear sneakers while traveling through Europe. There is a common misconception that all Europeans wear fancy shoes and if you wear sneakers in Europe you'll immediately be pegged as a tourist and be constantly accosted by roving hoards of pickpockets.
There are no rules about white in London or Paris, however, unless it is an Indian Summer (hot) most European women would not wear white in September/October, (although I assume you mean a totally white outfit) Probably wouldn't wear white shoes either. (Watch this...the whole of Paris will be wearing white!..)
Jeans, especially skinny jeans, are worn by many Europeans, but they don't make for great travel pants, as they take very long to dry. Build a European Fashion capsule wardrobe for your trip with pieces that you can layer and mix and match and wear with each other. Wear colors that locals wear.
