We had a fantastic gathering at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. celebrating Women's Equality Day. Officer, enlisted, and civilian Airmen from diverse backgrounds and career fields shared their inspiring insights. 🚀💪Our very own Air Force Sustainment Center Director of Staff, Wendy Walden, who has an incredible 39-year Air Force career, shared her experiences, and discussed work-life harmony. 🤝🌱Gabby Madkins, the chief of the Directorate Services Division of AFSC Software Directorate, also shared her journey navigating and excelling in typically male-dominated fields. 👩💻👩🚀The event wrapped up with a valuable mentorship meet-and-greet, where attendees and speakers had the opportunity to connect on a deeper level. 🤗🎯 #WomensEqualityDay #TinkerAFB #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork #AFSC #Sustainment

🚛 People Make it Happen: 78th LRS Ground Transportation plays crucial role in GATOR FLEX ’24Ground Transportation showcased their enduring combat history by leading an impressive 18-vehicle convoy over 450 miles, playing a pivotal role in enhancing Total Force Integration during the seven-day GATOR FLEX ’24 exercise. This massive effort supported over 300 personnel from seven major commands.💪 Impactful Support Across the BoardThe convoy facilitated the distribution of equipment valued at $750K, including Tactical Air Navigation Systems, a 10K All Terrain Forklift, and a C-300 Fuel Truck. Robin’s Rhinos played a vital role in enabling 64 members for support functions, 59 from the Lightning Force Academy, and 241 field exercise participants—a total of 364 personnel.🌍 Global Readiness AchievedThis effort enabled numerous units, to re-certify their readiness for no-notice deployments. In May, AFMC announced it will convert an additional 26,000 eligible existing General Schedule (GS) employees to AcqDemo by June 15, 2025 - and that includes 12,000 Air Force Sustainment Center personnel! This change will not only benefit individual employees but also create a more empowered and growth-oriented workforce. 🌟To ensure a successful transition, we invite all supervisors and civilian Airmen to attend one of the Town Halls, presented by the Air Force Acquisition Program Management Office. 🚀 Meet Mr. Ayala, one of our AMARG Superstars! 🚀🌟 In Action: Mr. Ayala took charge like a pro, leading a ground crew and two crane operators to flawlessly manage the offload of an F-15 and MQ-8, and the onload of a UH-1Z helicopter.🔧 Results: Thanks to Johnny's expert coordination, his team completed all three aircraft lifts across multiple sites in just 6 hours—beating the lift standard by an impressive 50%!🎯 Impact: Mr. Ayala's swift and safe offloading of the F-15 and MQ-8 saved additional shipping costs and ensured timely induction by the 309 AMARG Receiving section.
